The Colusa County Resource Conservation District’s October meeting date has been moved to October 1st. We will have a short meeting at 5:00 followed by our annual Speak-Off Contest at 6:00. You will have the opportunity to listen to our local youth speak on the timely topic “How can RCDs help address the increasing fuel loads in California’s wild lands and the potential for catastrophic wildfires." The normally scheduled October 21st meeting has been cancelled. The next CCRCD meeting will be held on November 18th.

The Colusa Basin Watershed Management Plan is a non-regulatory roadmap to watershed health that addresses local concerns as identified by watershed stakeholders. It is meant to be a user-friendly, living document and contains a clear set of management goals, objectives and achievable actions that will sustain and enhance our landscape into the future. This Plan is the result of a 2 1/2 year effort, working with landowners, agencies, local government and others to develop a truly local and stakeholder-driven document.
